Stuart Rosebrook is an accomplished freelance writer and editor, having an extensive background in writing about the history of film, politics, the American West, Arizona, and baseball, for books and magazines. He is currently the Senior Editor at True West magazine.
He most recently was the author and managing editor of At Work in Arizona: The First 100 Years for Alliance Bank of Arizona, a 168-page, five-color, custom limited edition photography book curated by Marilyn Szabo on the the history of commerce in Arizona.
He is also a research specialist in historical photography which is one of the key aspects of his work as author of Arizona commerce At Work in Arizona: The First 100 Years. Throughout his career, from television news productions for KTVK-TV3, the former ABC affiliate in Phoenix, to managing historical photography for Arizona Highways magazine and books, William & Mary Magazine, the Orme School Bulletin, and five departments for True West, he is extremely creative and innovative in his ability to identify historical images, maps and ephemera to be used to illustrate magazines and books.
He is also an institutional writer. Having written for the College of William & Mary, and The Orme School of Arizona. Stuart’s writings have been featured in True West, Arizona Highways, American Cowboy, Ranch & Reata, Camera & Darkroom, and Diamondbacks Magazine.
